A local market stall does not prove local cultivation. Ask whether the seller is the grower or a reseller and which island supplied the product. Straightforward provenance is more useful than tropical packaging. Get permission before handling delicate clusters or opening containers.
Plan the return trip
An insulated bag helps protect fresh purchases on a warm day. Avoid a hot parked car while running errands, and do not crush mushrooms under heavier produce. Keep the supplier’s label and follow its storage guidance rather than transferring everything into an unmarked sealed container.
Confirm attendance first
